Vista CA real estate area covers over 18 square miles (made up of zip codes 92081, 92083, 92084, 92085). Vista is 35 miles north of San Diego and about 90 miles south of Los Angeles. Vista is inland 7 miles from the ocean and is both north and south of Highway 78. Vista History

The Vista Ca real estate area has the same historical start as its surrounding neighbors, namely establishment of the San Luis Rey Mission. The king’s highway, El Camino Real, the path the founding fathers use to walk from mission to mission, passed right through Vista. Aggressive economic development has attracted over 600 new businesses. The largest employers are the Vista Unified School District, the Watkins Manufacturing Corporation, and the San Diego Superior Court. Nearby, is Palomar Junior College and the University of California at San Marcos.
