Carlsbad is a beautiful coastal city and the Carlsbad real estate area extends well inland towards Escondido. The Carlsbad real estate area is a favorite address for middle-aged professionals and families. Estimated population is over 104,000.
Carlsbad is a golfers’ paradise, not only because it has three courses but because many golf research and manufacturer’s firms have set up in Carlsbad like Callaway Golf. One of Carlsbad’s courses is the famous La Costa Resort and Spa. Carlsbad has one of the most accessible beaches in California, Carlsbad State Beach. Its shore is lined with a long promenade that is popular with walkers, joggers and skaters and people who want to see the sun sink into the Pacific. The long Carlsbad coastline is the perfect home for Carlsbad ocean view homes, Carlsbad whitewater homes, and Carlsbad oceanfront homes.
Carlsbad is also home to Legoland. Legoland employs about 1,000 and attracts about 2 million visitors each year. If you plan to see all of Legoland, plan to take more than one day. Legoland also has a top flight aquarium. And this combined with the beautiful beaches, the ocean, golf and a lively downtown have made Carlsbad a tourist destination.
